So it's like 4:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning, I think. I jump out of bed, run down the steps. I felt like I was 12 on Christmas again. Didn't even turn on the lights. Just me in a dark room at the glow of the computer on my face, devouring as much of the Blueprint as I possibly could before my kids woke up. That's how powerful the Blueprint was for me. As a business owner, there's few things that I'll push aside in my schedule.
Like, once I'm locked in and working on something, I’m locked in and I don't like to move my schedule around. But when Glenn handed me the Blueprint the night before, I had skimmed it and I just had this moment. I was like, whoa, this is big. This is game changing. And I pushed aside everything in my schedule and then spent the next few days just consuming it. So some quick context first, before I talk a little bit more about how much the Blueprint impacted my business.
My name is John and I'm the founder of LeadCapture.io. LeadCapture is a SaaS business in a highly competitive lead generation space. We basically help businesses build lead generation funnels and quizzes to help capture leads. There are 1,000,001 competitors and new competitors popping up every single day thanks to AI. So it's really critical that we stand out and we have milliseconds to stand out and show how we're different.
The Blueprint helped me understand how my business is different, because it is different than a lot of the competitors out there. And not only that, but it helped me understand how to show that my business is different and how to show that I'm different. And that has been game changing already. So here's some of what the Blueprint did for me. It showed me how to position my business in a highly competitive landscape and a sea of sameness.
It showed me how to stand out, but not just my business showed me how to stand out. Glenn has a unique way of figuring out how you can stand out and be different. And he also has a unique way of positioning it on the Blueprint in a way that makes sense in frameworks. It's all very logical. It helped me understand a series of high leverage activities that I could start deploying to generate more leads and revenue, not just in one part of the funnel, but across the entire funnel, across the entire business.
And then it also came to me at the right time. It was a time when I was overthinking a lot. I have a tendency to do that. I think a lot of people who have businesses tend to overthink things because we deal with so much. There's problems or strategy. And at the time I was overthinking how to position the business. I was going through some big changes with the business. I was overthinking who my ideal customer even is and the Blueprint. It helped me think about things differently.
It helped me think about things outside of the tunnel vision that I had. And then because of that, I felt like it expanded my mind, my horizons, and it helped me see the potential for my business to be 100x bigger than I even ever imagined. And I think that's huge. It got me thinking bigger. I have the belief that if you can get just one good idea from a book, from a guide, from a strategy, then that's a huge win.
The Blueprint delivered multiple great ideas, but there was one really good idea that has already started to lead to a transformation in the business. So let's talk about some of the tangible results. One of the biggest tangible results that I've seen here is an increase in leads. And this actually has also led to new revenue. So the Blueprint recommended a lead acquisition system, kind of a different way to think about driving leads at the top of my funnel.
Traditionally, when it comes to lead magnets, I've tried things like PDFs, all the overplayed things, gated content downloads, all that stuff kind of works. But I would never get more than like a 2% conversion rate across all of my traffic sources. I took one of the ideas that the Blueprint had recommended, and the positioning that the blueprint provided me with added that in put it on the website. It's been running for a few weeks now, and we've seen a huge influx in top of funnel leads from it.
It's converting it about a 12% conversion rate. If you remember, I just said that before trying this, I would get maybe a 1% to 2% conversion rate on data content across all traffic sources. So this is on my website. People who visit my website are converting into this new lead acquisition system that I've created, and I haven't even started to optimize it yet. So the sky's the limit. It has opened up top a funnel, and we've even had some of these people come through and turn into paying customers.
So aside from all the mindset shifts and all the stuff that I just spoke about here, the Blueprint has actually generated me new leads and new revenue. And I believe we could do that for you or any business out there. The Blueprint shifted my thinking. It got me thinking bigger and it will do that for you. It will shift your thinking.
